Just Sharing
IF YOU HAPPEN TO PASS THIS WAY
If you happen to pass this way,
Stop for a moment to rest and pray.
Under these oak limbs that reach toward the sky,
Let your thoughts come of days gone by….
Bring your memories of those you have loved and lost
Enjoy the view, savor the colors, the scene, and the grey of the moss.
The scent of the mist, the blue of the sky, the silver of the moon and sand,
All part of how God shares this beautiful land.
Let your thoughts lift from your heart on the breeze and send your love
To those who are here and those who are with God above.

Blackbeard Creek and Cabretta Inlet
A few photos to share. A Little Eye to Eye Chat
Taking a Mental Health Day means spending time doing those things I always hoped to do.
So, last Sunday, I put the boat in the river and rode out to ICW Marker 145 in Sapelo Sound. Heading due east in 20 minutes, I was passing the Quarantine Station just off Blackbeard Island beach. Then 10 minutes of riding thru thousands of acres of golden marsh grass as Blackbeard Creek winds her way pass Cabretta Island to the Atlantic Ocean.
I arrived at almost low tide and the beach spreads for miles with no one to block my view. Proper planning has me throwing my old king size sheet over part of a driftwood piece of art on the beach. A few strings tie the sheet corners to the driftwood tree and keep the ocean breezes from blowing it away. Now I have shade over my bean bag chair and as I relax on the beach the recovery process has begun.

SERENITY EVENING
As day blends with night,
Acres of marsh grass are bathed in golden light.
Eastern breezes flow ashore
And bring scents from the ocean’s roar.
In just moments this day will end,
Shadows disappear when the dark begins.
Another memory is stored in my mind
of blessings received from this wonderful find.
The dream I held has come to be
Living here and enjoying serenity.

Today is the day to spend time doing those things that you always planned to do someday when you had the time.
