Upper covered deck area over Julienton River has hammocks, lounge chairs, ceiling fans, rocking chairs, dining table and chairs, sinks for cleaning fish.
The 70 ft floating dock space has 17 ft of water at low tide.
You have dock privileges for your boat or you can arrange with charter captains to take you fishing or exploring the island beaches.
Gas stove with simmer burners.
Settle into the rocking chairs on the dock and enjoy your fresh brewed morning coffee as the sun rises over the river. In the evening relax in the Pawley’s Island hammocks with your evening cocktail and enjoy the sunset colors while you are soothed by the Bose sound system.
At sunrise and sunset, the water changes shades as it is infused with the colors of the rainbow.
Your panoramic view changes with the time and the tides. Watch as the sun strikes gold on the marsh grass that stretches across the river to Harris Neck Island and reaches as far North and South as you can see.
Day and night the sky is mirrored in the river and art is created in front of your eyes. The view constantly changes as the tides come and go and leave the clean white sand beach looking like it has never been stepped on by man.
The sky is full of sea and shore birds. Watch as they soar over the river and return to their nests and roosts. Woodstork, egrets, herons, sea hawks, pelican, sea gulls and many upland birds. You are lucky if you get to watch as bald eagles feed in the river and rare and endangered woodpeckers retrieve their dinner from the bark of 100 feet tall virgin pine trees. For the bird lovers, varying with the season there is an abundant supply and variety of birds to view.
As for the dolphin lovers, you can watch as they come and go with the tides and feed along the marsh banks and over the sand bar across the river. Dolphin watch goes on day and night. Star gazing is great due to the limited ambient light.

Guest House

Jan. 2012
I stayed in the Guest House for the month of January this year. My two little dogs LOVED the home, the courtyard, and Lin’s “dog park” down the block.
I walked in and immediately felt like I was HOME. While the 4-season porch has two twin beds, and my grandson used one of them for a week, the layout of the home was perfect for me. I had everything I could possibly want: kitchen full of appliances, dishes, soap; a huge closet and chest for my clothes; an industrial-sized washer and dryer; a super comfortable hard-to-get-out-of bed; skylights to tell me the weather report while I was still in bed; a great shower and lovely bathroom; shelves to use for my books, etc.; internet; NetFlix on the TV; a golf cart for tooling around; the dock where we could sit with a gate to keep the dogs with me; and so many stars at night that I thought I was truly in Heaven.
NOTE: I spent January here, February on St Simons Island, and March on Amelia. THIS was by far my favorite place. An instant unwinder. The PERFECT place to escape and relax. If you’re craving traffic, shopping, and wild parties, go to Cancun. This Guest House is for people who are escaping the craziness and want peace and quiet. Sit and watch pelicans, read without interruption, watch all of the movies you missed, and don’t forget to walk after dark and look up at the sky.
I WILL BE COMING BACK. Lin was not only the perfect hostess, she is now my friend. She’ll help 24/7. I mentioned that I’d forgotten my tripod and awoke to find one sitting outside the door. What a hoot! I had one of the best months of my life here. You will, too! I was homesick when I left and have been ever since.
Thanks, Lin and Jimmy, for the BEST possible vacation!
